Main Responsibilities
- Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance.
- Social support/transportation for social activities, shopping/groceries, travelling to medical appointments.
- Domestic assistance: light household cleaning, laundry and meal preparation.
- Supporting participants with complex and/or challenging needs.
- Provide updates on client progress following each service.
- Learning & Life skills Support: To assist participants in learning new skills, e.g. cooking, cleaning, dressing, using transport, and other skills that result in gaining independence.
Requirements
- Possess and demonstrate sound disability (or allied health/welfare/education/aged care field) experience, knowledge and/or training relevant to the position.
- Professional Qualifications: Certificate III/IV, Diploma, Bachelors (Mandatory)
- National Police Certificate (Mandatory)
- First Aid & CPR Certificate (Mandatory)
- Driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle (Mandatory)
- NDIS Workers Screening Check (Mandatory for NSW)
- Working with Children Check (as needed)
