Switching your Home Care Package provider is easy.
Unhappy with your current home care provider? It might be time for a change. We can help you with every step of the process:
- Help you understand your existing Home Care Agreement with your current provider
- Speak with your existing Home Care provider on your behalf, with your permission

Register for My Aged Care and determine your eligibility
You can call My Aged Care on 1800 200 422 or complete their self-service form online. If you’re eligible, My Aged Care will organise an assessor to visit you or your family member’s home. During their visit, the assessor will evaluate the needs and determine the level of support required at home.
The approval process can take anywhere from 1 to 6 months. When a Home Care Package is assigned to you, you’ll then get to nominate your chosen service provider (such as EnableU) to commence services.
Privately fund your care services while you wait
The government assessment process can take time. If you’re seeking services right away or prefer not to wait, you may want to consider privately funding your care as a temporary solution.
Many families often choose to privately fund their Home Care services while they wait for their Home Care Package to be approved.
