Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance.
  • Social support/transportation for social activities, shopping/groceries, travelling to medical appointments.
  • Domestic assistance: light household cleaning, laundry and meal preparation
  • Supporting participants with complex and/or challenging needs
  • Provide updates on client progress following each service
  • Learning & Life skills Support: To assist participants in learning new skills, e.g. cooking, cleaning, dressing, using transport, and other skills that result in gaining independence.

 

Requirements:

  • Possess and demonstrate sound disability (or allied health/welfare/education/aged care field) experience, knowledge and/or training relevant to the position.
  • National Police Certificate (Mandatory)
  • Professional Qualifications: Certificate III/IV, Diploma, Bachelors (Mandatory)
  • First Aid & CPR Certificate (Mandatory)
  • Driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle (Mandatory)
  • Working with Children Check (as needed)
